Annual Workshops 

Several Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshops are held in Maine each year. These workshops are all designed to provide opportunity for women who are 18 or older to gain or improve skills in hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation in a safe and comfortable environment.

Winter Skills Weekend

February 2016
Bryant Pond 4-H Camp & Learning Center

Defeat cabin fever with this three-day workshop held at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center offered in February.  Participants complete three sessions during their stay choosing from topics that include winter survival, snowshoeing, ice fishing, archery, fly tying, cooking wild game, firearms use, primitive skills and more.
Cost to attend is $225 with on-site lodging and $150 for commuters.  Registration includes meals, equipment and instruction.

Registration materials for the next winter skills workshop will be made available in late fall 2016



BOW Mini Workshops

A series of one-day mini workshops are scheduled in various locations throughout Maine and offer participants and introductory experience in two topics of their choice.

Summer Adventure Camp

June 5-7, 2015
Nicatous Lodge and Cabins

Enjoy a weekend of learning and adventure along the shores of beautiful Nicatous Lake at an authentic, deep Maine woods sporting camp.
Participants will have the opportunity to complete three sessions during the weekend choosing from topics such as fishing, outdoor survival, archery and more!
