Intro to Sea Kayaking Workshop

June 21, 2008

Brunswick

Spend a half day exploring the protected waters of Mid-Coast Maine in a sea kayak. Join Maine Sea Kayaking Guides as we depart from Seaspray Kayaking in Brunswick and paddle out to Thomas Bay to enjoy the scenic beauty and wildlife. We’ll stop on an island or beach for lunch before returning. No experience is necessary. Kayaks will be both Recreational (very stable and roomy) and ocean (longer and faster) The two person kayaks are equipped with rudders, allowing beginners the option of steering with their feet. It is usually very comfortable paddling in June, but it is always good to bring a fleece top and/or windbreaker, just in case the temperatures dip. We also recommend water shoes/sandals, a water bottle, sunblock, bug spray and a camera. The water temperature will be around 65 degrees.
